CELEBRATING SHAVUOT?
YOU ARE PROVING YESHUA (JESUS)
IS THE MESSIAH.

Shavuot is the the original Hebrew name for "THE FEAST OF WEEKS". This is the season of the giving of the law to Moses by the Lord God of Israel. It occurred 50 days after the Feast of Unleavened Bread and is considered to be the birthday of Judaism. It is also called Pentecost and The Feast of Weeks. Two loaves of bread were waved before the Lord, as part of this service. These loaves were made with newly harvested fine flour with leaven. They were to be the first fruits unto the Lord, Lev. 23:17. This is the only time that bread with leaven was used as a wave offering before the Lord.

In addition to being the birthday of Judaism, it is also the birth date of the church of Messiah Yeshua (Jesus). Messiah Yeshua was sacrificed at Passover, the 14th of Aviv & paid for our sins on the 14th, 15th , and 16th of Aviv. He rose on the 16th of Aviv, which is the Feast of First Fruits. The principle has never varied in Judaism during all the sacrifices, if God accepted the first fruit of the harvest, He would accept and bless the whole harvest. God the Father accepted Yeshua and said "This is my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased," Matt 3:17. Yeshua said, "I am the way, the truth and the life none can come to the Father but by me, " John 14:6.

During the seven Levitical Feasts the Jewish People from all over the world came to Jerusalem to fulfill God's command to worship at the Temple. The Spirit of God came down on many Jewish people who were here for this holiday. When the Apostles preached to the crowd of Jewish people, 3000 believed on the Lord Yeshua as Messiah. Later, 5000 believed and then the scripture says those who were ordained to eternal life also believed. Most of these new believers were Jewish people while some were Gentile proselytes.

Do you know why the Book of Ruth is read during this holiday? It was preparing us for the time when God would take Jewish and Gentile sinners unto himself, Isa. 49:22. The great grandmother of King David was Ruth the Moabitess. She came to know and love the God of her mother-in-law, Naomi. David's royal line was not totally Jewish. There was a Gentile in it. Ruth married Boas, they had a son Obed, he had a son Jesse, and Jesse fathered King David. At the end of David's line Yeshua (Jesus) The Messiah was born.

Messiah, whose lineage is Jewish but whose forebearers were both Jews and Gentiles, is at this Feast, taking both Jewish and Gentile sinners unto himself as typified by the two wave loaves made with leaven.

The New Testament scriptures tell us that God's spirit will now dwell within man. That is why God's spirit came down upon all those Jewish people at this Feast. The ancient Rabbis tell us in the Talmud (Yomah 39:b) that God no longer forgave Israel's sins. That following Yom Kippur the Rabbis testified that God's glory no longer resided in the Temple. Even though sacrificing continued until the Temple was destroyed, sacrifices were to no avail as regarding the forgiveness of sins. That is the reason God permitted the Temple and all the records of the priesthood genealogies to be destroyed. This is the first time since the inception of Judaism that there is no record as to whom the priests are. The reason is because the priesthood is no longer of any value. "For the life of the flesh is in the blood; and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls; for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul," Lev 17:11. Without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sin. You are unclean before God, not because the Temple was destroyed and you can no longer sacrifice, but because you have not accepted the sacrifice of God's only son, who paid the price God demanded to abolish your sin.

Even though you are probably trying to be a good person, because you have no covering for your sins and your sins have not been paid for in God's eyes, you are wicked. God says in Ezek 33:11, "Say unto them, As I live saith the Lord God, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live; turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will you die, O house of Israel?" "Turn unto me saith the Lord of Hosts and I will turn unto you," Zach 1:3.
The prophet Isaiah tells us in 6:9-10 And He (God) said, "Go and tell this people, You do hear, but understand not; you do see, but perceive not. Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert and be healed."
Yeshua can be your sin bearer. If you want eternal life, you must call upon him now, otherwise, you will bear your own sins unto death, in shame and everlasting contempt (in hell), Dan. 12:2.
